10 Unique Guest Books

1/17/2021

Smaller and intimate weddings are predicted to continue trending for the 2021 wedding season.  As guest lists are getting smaller it is allowing couples to utilize their budgets for more personalized items.  One of the ways couples are doing this is choosing a more unique and personalized guest book instead of the traditional hardcover book filled with pages.  Here are my top 10 favorites:

  • Wine Themed Guest Books
Customize wine bottle labels and have the guests sign them.  Or use a darker bottle and using metallic markers have your guests sign the bottle directly.  Pop the bottle open for a milestone wedding anniversary.

  • Cork Shadow Box
Collect your corks leading up to your big day, and have your guests sign them and drop in a shadow box engraved with your names.

  • Musical Instruments
Is music a big part of you and your fiance's life?  Consider having guests sign a musical instrument, like a guitar.

  • Photo Book
Create a photo book with your engagement photos and/or any other special pictures of you and your fiance for your guests to sign. This will become a treasured keepsake for you as a couple for years to come.

  • Wood Slab
If you’re doing a rustic themed wedding, you’ll need a guest book to match. Have your guests sign a custom tree trunk wood slab that you can hang in your home.

  • Make it a Game
Have your guests sign each piece of a Jenga wood piece or puzzle piece for a unique and fun guest book option.

  • “Drop” Guest Book
A big trend is having guests sign little hearts, or other unique pieces and dropping them into a sign with a centerpiece that is unique to the couple.  I have seen hearts with names and trees with leaves.

  • Rock or Shells
For a beach themed wedding have your guests sign seashells or a garden themed wedding have them sign small rocks. This is not only an inexpensive way to go about having a guest book, but eco-friendly as well.

  • Sports related
Are you and your fiance sport fanatics? Have your guests sign a football, baseball, etc. and display in your new home.

  • Form a quilt
Set up a table with quilt squares and fabric pens for your guests to sign.  After your wedding compile all the squares and have them sewn together for a beautiful and unique quilt for you to treasure.
