Quarantine 2020
It's not big news to anyone now on 4/8/2020 that COVID-19 has taken over our lives, almost everything is shut down, there is a toilet paper shortage and farmers are having to dump their milk. Social distancing is a thing, and staying at home and binging shows on Netflix is what we are supposed to do. However there are still many professionals that are heading out every day to do their jobs, and I want to say thank you to them. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and all hospital staff. Thank you to the mail men and women, as well as delivery guys and gals that are seeing that people get their mail and packages. Thank you to the grocery store employees who are continuously stocking their shelves and working hard to keep everything clean and sanitized. Thank you to the truck drivers that still moving supplies across this country. Thank you to the farmers that are still doing their daily life schedule, virus or not. Thank you to the cafeteria staffs who are making breakfast and lunches for students. A shout-out all the teachers that are working from home and virtually teaching their classes, and a huge shout out to the parents and/or guardians that are now "home schooling."
As for me? The cats have been training me in their ways...our lives revolve around naps and snacks. HAHA!! I have been binge-watching Grey's Anatomy (again) on Netflix and have read six books so far!! I also closed out the best month I've had yet for Pampered Chef, which helped me exceed my New Years Resolution of making my investment in Pampered Chef back, plus some!! I also am diligently cleaning every space of the apartment. I tackle one area a day.
Since the weather is getting nicer I plan to re-plant my veggie garden this year...I won't be so ambitious as I was last year when I over planted. Nicer weather also means I'll be more incline to go on walks around town and sit outside on my little DIY patio and read some more of my books!
Currently school is closed until April 29th, an update that just came this week. I am missing my kiddos greatly as well as my co-workers. However, since I have that time on my hands I hope to be able to get on my blog more to share tips, tricks, ideas, etc.
I'll end with a quote from a favorite book character:
"Happiness can be found in even the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light" ~ Albus Dumbledore ~
Find your light friends!
