Welcome 2020!

Happy New Year! I haven’t gotten to my blog in a hot minute- dang holiday season. I also never finished my series about my 5 to Thrive Challenge, so I do apologize to all of my followers for that.
As a quick update, December pretty much was an epic fail regarding that challenge, let’s be real Christmas cookies are delicious and with everything else going on I’m not thinking about exercise. However, it is the season that I think people are the most grateful so even I did not actually write anything down, I am grateful for many things.
With that being said, I am going to start 2020 off hopefully on the right foot! I am not a big “new year’s resolutions” person because I think that if you need to change something about yourself to make yourself better you need to start working on that the minute you realize not wait for a time of the year to do it. However, I do like to set some goals for myself, and yes I reference back to every semester of college where I had to learn and relearn what SMART goals were when I make these goals up.
Therefore, I am going to be a completely open book and model myself after the great Rachel Hollis and be 100% honest with y’all.
Here are my 2020 Goals:
Well I am not going to allow myself to be that person this year, and with some coworkers who are working hard to be health conscious as well I aim to reach my goal and finally feel and look my best, so that I can live my life to the fullest. See the picture of my motivation wall.
Lastly, I also came up with two affirmations that I need to remember in 2020 so that I can stop feeling bad or giving in when it is not me living my best life.
Affirmation #1 STOP trying make people be a part of your life, when they don’t invite you to be a part of theirs, it takes two to build that bridge.
Affirmations #2 STOP asking for motivation from others and motivate yourself to be your best, also hold yourself accountable.
It’s 2020 it’s a new year, and a new decade. It’s the decade I will turn 30 in, a decade my brother will be getting married in and probably a decade that I know I’m going to experience some lost. However, it is the decade that I am going to make my best so far.
